Erdogan: ‘Sees’ positive messages from seismic surveys – What he said about F35

Seismic surveys in the Mediterranean show positive signs, said Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, arguing that Turkey is in a good position in the energy sector.

Speaking at the Troy Museum in Canakkale, the Turkish president said: “Now we have bought our own ships for seismic surveys. We bought the ships for drilling. We did not have them. We used the charter system. We had 5 such ships in Berat. Albayrak (former Minister of Finance) and Fatih Donmez (now Minister of Finance) Now, these seismic surveys in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean show positive messages: Once we start producing our gas, things will change and our citizens will take advantage of its abundance ”.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, Erdogan also referred to the issue of American F-35 fighters, noting that “we paid $ 1.4 billion for the F-35s, but the F-35s were not given to us. Now, they are coming “Some new offers, to see what happens, how expensive they are. We do not know how healthy they are. But eventually they will make us owners. I hope we will produce them ourselves.”

At the beginning of his speech, T. Erdogan also addressed Troy, saying that “it is the symbol of the past that represents us, like all the peoples who lived in Anatolia. Homer’s Iliad explains a struggle whose traces reach today” .

Impressed by the fact that for the first time the President of Turkey spoke about the possibility of his defeat and departure in the presidential and parliamentary elections which are scheduled for the summer of 2023.

“If the people say goodbye and the next ones come, let them tear down what we have built,” he said.

At the same time, he promised the people of his country “better days” once again, even though inflation continues to shake the Turkish economy.
