Ethan Hawke reveals his daughters' reaction to his role in Taylor Swift's music video

The actor's teenage daughters Ethan Hawke, 53 apparently they weren't at all impressed that he appeared in the music video for song “Fortnight” by Taylor Swift .

When two of Hawke's daughters — Clementine, 15, and Indiana, 12 — found out about his cameo, “the expression on their faces was one of deep disappointment,” he said on The Late Show. This is because, according to the actor of “Dead Poets Society” Swift called the wrong Hawke.

“'Don't pay attention to my dad, my dad's an idiot,'” Hawke joked about what his daughters really thought about Swift's choice. “'You should be calling me.'”

Hawke appeared in the music video for “Fortnight,” the first single from Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department” next to his colleague Josh Charles who was also in the cast of “Dead Poets Society”.

Ethan Hawke told host Stephen Colbert that he understands his daughters' views as young Swifties, saying, “Taylor belongs with them. I can't have that with them.

“Fortnight”, which features a collaboration with Post Malone remained in first place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the second week after its debut at number one.

“For Josh and I, we laughed so much all day,” Hawke said of filming. “We felt like the biggest rock stars in the whole world.”
