EU agrees on migration: Building solidarity mechanism and strengthening border controls

THE European Union finally reached an agreement on immigrantafter the relevant disputes were resolved, while more than 10 states decided to accept refugeesto decongest countries with high flows.

He also announced that it was decided to create a solidarity mechanism, but also to increase controls at the EU borders. “The vast majority of member states are in favor of this solidarity and more than ten Member States have stated that they are positive about accepting migrants“, He mentioned about it.

In fact, the Vice-President of the Commission, Margaritis Schoinascommented on the EU decision in a Twitter post and sent one big “thank you” to the five MED5 countries (Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Italy, Malta) for “Their constructive approach”.
