Passenger car registrations in the European Union fell in November, for the fifth consecutive month this year, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association.
New car registrations fell 20.5% year-on-year to 713,346 steps this month, the Union (ACEA) said.
“In terms of volumes, the results mark the lowest level recorded in November, since 1993,” he said.
In January-November, new car registrations in the EU stood at 8.9 million.
“In the 11 months, the impact of the lack of microprocessors for vehicle production, led EU sales since the beginning of the year to a negative level (-0.04%), despite the low base of comparison with 2020,” said ACEA .
