In the presence of representatives of the political leadership, the region and the local government, as well as a variety of executives in the energy sector, took place today at the hotel St. George Lycabettus event of the companies AMERESCO and RESINVEST for the completion of the construction of a wind farm in Xerakia, of the Municipality of Argostoli, Kefalonia, on behalf of PPC RENEWABLE.
The inauguration ceremony was greeted by the American Ambassador to Greece, G. R, Pyatt, the Deputy Minister of Development Mr. N. Papathanasis, the Regional Governor Mr. R. Kratsa, the MP of Kefalonia Mr. P. Kappatos, the President of ELETAEN Mr. P. Ladakakos, the Managing Director of PPC Renewables Mr. K. Mavros, the Managing Director of AMERESCO Mr. G. Sakellaris and the General Manager of RESINVEST Mr. D. Karagoules.
The companies AMERESCO and RESINVEST undertook through a public open tender the construction of the infrastructure, supply, transport, construction and commissioning of the park, as well as its operation and maintenance for 15 years. The project was successfully completed in less than a year, despite being executed in the midst of a pandemic, Hurricane Ianos and strong local reactions during the first phase.
