Former panicat Ana Paula Leme, 47, was arrested in flagrante delicto while attacking police officers in the Cambuí region, in Campinas, on Saturday night (20).
The Public Security Department (SSP) of São Paulo reported that the model was in a convenience store at a gas station when she refused to pay for the products she had consumed and insulted the establishment’s employee.
The employee then called the Military Police. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers identified that the suspect showed signs of drunkenness.
Ana Paula insulted and attacked the police officers, in addition to resisting arrest. She was arrested for resistance, threats, insults, drunk driving, contempt and other frauds, according to the SSP.
Even after being restrained and taken to the 1st DP in Campinas, she continued to insult the police team.
On Saturday, a test to confirm drunkenness and toxicity was requested from the Forensic Medical Institute (IML). The woman was taken to the Paulínia Women’s Prison, where she remained in custody at the disposal of the courts.
This Sunday (21), Ana Paula went through a custody hearing, being granted provisional freedom after paying bail of one minimum wage. In addition, other precautionary measures were imposed for the release, with judicial authorization:
- Prohibition on leaving the region where you reside for more than eight days;
- Prohibition on changing address;
- Prohibition of access to and attendance at bars of dubious reputation.
The Civil Police continues to investigate the case. CNN tried to contact Ana Paula Leme and is awaiting a response.
