The singer Marília Mendonça, who died this Friday afternoon (5) in a plane crash, made her last release shortly before boarding towards Caratinga, in Minas Gerais.
“Fan club” is a song made in partnership with Maraia and Maraisa, friends of the singer and partners in the project “Patroas”. On YouTube, the music video was released 21 hours ago – and it already has more than 2 million views and occupies the first position among the videos that are hot on the platform. Marília Mendonça’s YouTube channel has more than 22 million subscribers.
Shortly after releasing the song, the artist called a few surprise fans before boarding the plane. Marília maintained a close relationship with fans on social networks and through groups in messaging apps.
According to the president of the singer’s 1st fan club, Chayeni Fiorelli, Marília called some fans to find out what they thought of the song’s video.
“We have the fan center, which she called ‘Marília’s herd’, and we have a group on Telegram and we communicated more directly with her. All the fans left the number, she chose some and started calling”, she said.
The singer, who had strong social media participation and more than nearly 40 million followers on Instagram, took advantage of the song’s title to make the action with fans.
On the social network, the singer herself showed moments when she surprises one of the fans with the connection. According to Chayeni, the singer maintained a direct channel with fans on the Telegram messaging app.

Marília Mendonça was 26 years old and has a one-year-old child. She began to stand out as a young songwriter at 12 years old. He collected some of the biggest hits in Brazil, such as “Infiel”, “Supera”, “Ciumeira” and “De Quem é a Culpa”.

The accident
The accident happened in Piedade de Caratinga, in Vale do Rio Doce, in the west of Minas Gerais. The plane crashed at a distance of three kilometers from the airport in Caratinga, the city where the singer would perform.
The aircraft fell into a watercourse near an access road on the BR-474 highway. Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (Cemig) reported that the plane hit a cable in a power distribution tower of the company in Caratinga.
The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) and the Civil Police of Minas Gerais are investigating the accident.
