“Fantastic Beasts 3”, title and release date of the new Harry Potter prequel

For Harry Potter fans today is a day to remember because, finally, we know the first detail of the third chapter of Fantastic beasts, the prequel saga about the magical world of the boy wizard in five films.

The title of the film is Dumbledore’s Secrets (in original The secrets of Dumbledore) and arrives in theaters on April 15, 2022. There are just over 200 days left, then, for one of the most troubled projects in the franchise.

Route change
Not only has the production been blocked and postponed due to Covid-19, but the main antagonist, Grindelwald, protagonist of the second chapter (available on Netflix), has a new interpreter: the legal proceedings of Johnny Depp have penalized him to the point to be fired.

In its place it has arrived Madds Mikkelsen, which is experiencing a real moment of grace.

Jude Law for President
Although the five prequel movies are inspired by one of the Hogwarts school books, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (Salani publisher), the story is totally unknown, except to creator JK Rowling.

Only a clue was revealed by the same author on Twitter who supposed the setting of each chapter in a country with a different language (the first was set in Paris, the second in New York and the fifth, hopefully, will arrive in Italy). Apart from that, the audience is groping in the dark.

The title of the third film, however, is already an effective starting point to understand who will be the protagonist, that is the future principal Albus Dumbledore, who in the adult version has the face of Jude Law.

Come home Newt

The heart of the story, however, remains the magizoologist Newt Scamander, played by Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne. It is up to him to keep the wizarding world safe, especially since Grindelwald has decided to gather an army to “protect himself” from no mag or muggles, ie creatures without magical powers. Surprisingly, Queenie (Alison Sudol) also joined him, tired of not being able to love the baker Jacob (Dan Fogler) in the open just because he is not a wizard.
