Fedez remembers Gianluca Vialli moved: «We knew the same pain, it helped me a lot»

With Gianluca Vialli, Fedez he had shared the fears and pains of the disease. In fact, even the singer underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer, albeit of a different type than the one with which the former footballer fought for five years. In that dark period Vialli – who did not know Fedez personally – had sent him all the support. Now that the champion is dead, the rapper wanted to thank him publicly with a touching video in an Instagram story: «Unfortunately, I have now learned of the news of Gianluca Vialli’s death and I am making this video to remember him because he was an extraordinary person who was very close to me and gave me an undue but incredible hand».

In the video, Fedez also recalled the affectionate phone call Vialli made to him before the surgery at the San Raffaele in Milan: «It had never occurred to me in my life to cry on the phone with someone I didn’t know, but who knew my own pain. We both underwent the same surgery for two different pathologies. I like it a lot, we had promised to meet and take a picture with the same scar».

A few weeks ago, when the head of the delegation of the national team had decided to suspend all work commitments to focus on the treatment of pancreatic cancer, Fedez had sent him another touching social message: «I wanted to send a big good luck also publicly to Gianluca Vialli , that He has been very helpful to me during my illness», Fedez had said, visibly moved, in a story on Instagram. «We didn’t know each other and he gave me a strength that no one has been able to give me, so I want to wish him a big good luck. Let’s send him positive energy.”

Vialli didn’t make it. And now Fedez regrets never having met him: «I’m truly dismayed that I didn’t get to know you better», says the rapper in the new social video. «Despite having had correspondence and telephone communication, you have given me so much and it is right that people know it». Even the singer’s wife, Clare Ferragni, he wanted to greet the former footballer: «You are a great person and I will never stop thanking you for the energy and sweetness you shared with Fede before the operation. Thank you for what you have done for us and for everyone,” wrote the digital entrepreneur in a story on Instagram.
