The Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp) issued a note this Thursday (19), informing that businessman Josué Gomes da Silva, owner of Coteminas, continues as president of the entity and is in full exercise of his duties.
The demonstration comes three days after the assembly in which unions dissatisfied with Josué’s management voted to dismiss the president, in an unprecedented split in the history of the entity.
This vote, however, is considered internally as without validity, as it was not called in advance and held when representatives of the most important sectors, and supporters of Josué, had already left the federation’s headquarters on Avenida Paulista.
In recent days, Josué has not left office and should receive Finance Minister Fernando Haddad on the 30th, according to Broadcast, Grupo Estado’s real-time news system.
