FIFA released this Friday (1st) the first official single of the World Cup, “Hayya Hayya (Better Together)”, performed by singers Trinidad Cardona, Davido and Aisha.
The release was accompanied by an official clip [veja abaixo] and the song is now available on major streaming platforms.
“The combination of American star Trinidad Cardona, Afrobeats icon Davido and Qatari sensation Aisha captures the spirit of the World Cup and FIFA Sound’s strategy by gathering inspiration from around the world,” the federation said in a statement.
The song has influences from R&B and reggae and should be performed this Friday in a rehearsal broadcast by FIFA channels.
The label responsible was Def Jam Recordings, and the production was in charge of RedOne, who has worked with artists such as Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez.
Cup draw
The draw for the groups for the Qatar World Cup will be held this Friday, starting at 1 pm. With a few spots still to be decided, 29 of the 32 entrants will be confirmed when the draw begins at the Doha Exhibition Centre. Follow CNN’s coverage.
