Fire hits building where Navy Command works in Brasilia

A fire hit the building where the Navy Command works, located on the Esplanada dos Ministérios, in Brasília, this Saturday morning (18). The Military Fire Department of the Federal District (CBMDF) was triggered around 6 am.

According to the corporation, the flames reached a room on the 6th floor of the building. Cabinets were burned and a window burst due to the intense heat. Eight vehicles and 30 soldiers responded to the incident.

Firefighters set up a hose line to access the site and in approximately 5 minutes the fire was under control. The incident left no victims and the CBMDF expertise will investigate the occurrence.

The Brazilian Navy, through the Command of the 7th Naval District, informs that, this Saturday morning, around 6:10 am, a fire broke out in a room on the 6th floor of the Main Building of the Navy Command.

The building was quickly evacuated, the Military Fire Brigade was called and put out the fire in less than 1 hour. There were no casualties and material damage was minor.

The expertise is already being carried out at the site of the incident and the other administrative measures will be taken in a timely manner.
