Firefighters decide to release permit authorizing Rock in Rio

After an inspection carried out in the City of Rock, the Fire Department of Rio de Janeiro released the operating license for Rock in Rio to be held. The information was confirmed by the State Secretary of Civil Defense, Leandro Monteiro.

Some issues at the site were in disagreement with the decree that regulates this type of event, but they were resolved.

“The remaining problems have already been resolved and we are authorizing,” he told CNN . Monteiro commanded a last visit to the City of Rock this Wednesday (31). Accompanied by Fire and Civil Defense officers, he toured part of the spaces that will receive the attractions and the public starting this Friday (2).

The Civil Defense commander also had a long conversation with Roberto Medina, organizer of the festival. The two toured part of the space where the VIP area is being set up. The space is still undergoing adjustments in its structure and flooring.

Although it has its start scheduled for Friday, Rock in Rio already had a test event this Wednesday. The press conference featured Mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD). The city government estimates that the event will inject R$1.7 billion into the Rio economy. Organizers talk about R$2.2 billion.
