The new BMW i7 is currently undergoing road tests at the BMW Group’s winter test center in Arjeplog in Sweden.
According to the manufacturer, low temperatures and snow-covered roads, located just a few kilometers from the Arctic Circle, create ideal conditions for a comprehensive test of the power plant and chassis of an electric vehicle.
Tests in extreme climatic conditions allow engineers to fine-tune the suspension, steering and braking components as well as the next-generation BMW 7 Series Electronic Safety Assistants.
During the tests, the electric motor, battery and control system of the BMW i7 demonstrated a high level of readiness for extreme freezing temperatures in the north of Sweden.
