The automaker BMW has published an interesting material – a photo and video of winter dynamic tests near the Arctic Circle of the electric car BMW i7, which will appear in showrooms only in 2022.
According to the manufacturer, the BMW i7 boasts the title of the world’s first all-electric executive sedan.
The new BMW i7 is currently undergoing road tests at the BMW Group’s winter test center in Arjeplog in Sweden.
According to the manufacturer, low temperatures and snow-covered roads, located just a few kilometers from the Arctic Circle, create ideal conditions for a comprehensive test of the power plant and chassis of an electric vehicle.
Tests in extreme climatic conditions allow engineers to fine-tune the suspension, steering and braking components as well as the next-generation BMW 7 Series Electronic Safety Assistants.
During the tests, the electric motor, battery and control system of the BMW i7 demonstrated a high level of readiness for extreme freezing temperatures in the north of Sweden.
