A total of 24.2 billion FLR will be distributed over 36 monthly rounds. Based on current quotes, this amount is about $714 million. At the beginning of the distribution, the coin reacted with a slight increase.
On January 9, 2023, 4.279 billion FLR was credited to “millions of users” according to certain criteria. One of them was holding at least 1 XRP at the time of the December 12, 2020 snapshot.
The connection with the token from Ripple was initially explained by Flare’s focus on creating a DeFi ecosystem on the network of a fintech project.
The distribution of the asset will take place in equal tranches of 676 million monthly, with the exception of the last one at 584.76 FLR.
Users can claim their tokens in a number of ways:
- using a wallet on the Flare Portal;
- through the functionality of the BiFrost Wallet application;
- setting up an auto-application on the project website;
- self-configuring smart contract.
The developers of the Ethereum-network of the second level Arbitrum planned an airdrop for March 23, followed by the transition of the project to a decentralized governance model.
