A Delta Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Nashville made an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Friday,because a passenger tried to invade the cockpit of the aircraft.
The Delta flight landed at 14:20 local time at Albuquerque International Airport, where authorities removed the passenger from the plane and arrested him, an airport spokesman said.
The FBI of the city stressed in a tweet that it responds to an incident and assured that “there is no threat to the public at this time».
No one was injured during the incident and the flight continued its journey to Nashville, the airport spokesman added.
Delta and FBI officials were not immediately available for comment.
