Ford calls for review in North America about 3,500 Transit Connect manufactured in Almussafes

The vehicle manufacturer Ford has launched a revision campaign in the United States and Canada that will affect 3,487 Transit Connect units manufactured at Almussafes. The cause is a possible engine software calibration problem.

According to the US company, the units affected by this recall incorporate a 2.5-liter propellant and were manufactured in Valencia between August 2, 2018 and July 30 from this year.

Of the 3,487 units that Ford will review in North America due to this eventual failure, 2.903 are in the United States, while the remaining 584 units are located in Canada.

The multinational pointed out that these units have a calibration in the cooling system for the protection of the engine that has higher maximum temperature values than expected, which can cause in exceptional cases that the engine operates in temperatures above critical levels, increasing the risk of fire.

The car company based in Dearborn, in the state of Michigan, assured that it has not received any report or communication that this problem has caused any injury or accident among your customers.
