Ford claims the Ford Maverick is the first pickup truck to come standard with a hybrid powertrain. It has a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 162 hp. paired with Ford’s first 94 kW electric motor. In this case, the total power is 191 hp, and the drive is front. The company claims a fuel consumption of about 6.4 liters per 100 km, which allows it to travel more than 800 km with a full tank that holds 52 liters.
There is also a version with a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost petrol engine producing 250 hp. and an 8-speed automatic transmission with the option of adding all-wheel drive, as well as specialized packages for towing or off-roading.
For a starting $ 19,995, buyers get an 8-inch touchscreen display with Ford Sync 4 that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in FordPass Connect 4G / LTE modem with Wi-Fi, Ford Co-Pilot360 system with automatic emergency braking, LED headlights, rear view camera, remote keyless entry and other functions.
Ford Maverick in different trim levels received electrical outlets in the body, a modular trunk and other options that are well known to fans of American pickups. The base version is called the Ford Maverick XL, the Ford Maverick XLT starts at $ 22,280, and the Ford Maverick Lariat starts at $ 25,490. Various options and packages are provided.
