The documentary “Unconscious Revealed” will be released next Monday (20). The work is produced and directed by Alexandra Losa, former French consul in São Paulo and Diversity and Inclusion training consultant.
The launch will be on Black Awareness Day. In fact, the majority of professionals involved in the production of the film are black people.
The documentary is 70 minutes long and portrays the formation of the Brazilian people, the leadership of black women in entrepreneurship and behavioral patterns that shape society. The work also highlights the characteristics and scars of racism in Brazil.
“We want to portray an economic and social issue. Black people have always been portrayed and placed in positions that disadvantage our image and the purpose of this documentary is precisely to break this stereotype and magnify all the contribution we made to Brazil for the formation of its people”, says Lora.
“Racism is still very present in our society and it kills. We have an obligation, as citizens, to discuss and formulate public initiatives so that future generations are able to enjoy a dignified life in Brazil”, adds Alexandra Loras.
The documentary features the participation of Luislinda de Valois, former minister of Women, Family and Human Rights, and professor and historian, Leandro Karnal.
The film will be available on Alexandra Loras’ YouTube channel, in addition to being shown on the new Afro Brasil channel and on open and closed TV stations. The work is directed by Bruno Zanetti and produced by Daniel Picolo and Guilherme Picolo. Dream Box Film is responsible for audiovisual production.
The production was financed with incentives from the Federal Culture Incentive Law and was financed by the pharmaceutical company Sanofi, with support from the Movimento Observador Criativo (MOOC).
