Gabriel Falcao , former Globo actor announced on his social networks that he changed career and became a diplomat . The artist was part of the cast of “Malhação 2013” and was part of the miniseries “Se Eu Fechar os Olhos Agora”, also on the network.
With a publication registered in Itamaraty Palace in Brasília, he published a long text, where he mentions his vocation for the new area. In the post, he also registered the diplomatic passport, in hand and mentions: “Anyway, diplomat”.
In his caption, he mentions that he felt a “calling” in December 2021, when he heard about a career as a diplomat for the first time.
“It was as if I had spent my whole life in love with pasta, cheese and tomato sauce, and suddenly someone introduced me to pizza. The meal, however, would be the opposite of fast food: the selection process is known to be one of the most complex and competitive in the country, with an average preparation time of more than four years”, he reports.
In his post, Gabriel Falcão also mentions that last year, there were more than 8,000 candidates competing for 37 vacancies, with tests in the most diverse disciplines. “It is no exaggeration to say that this was, by far, the biggest challenge of my life: it took more than two years of a lot of dedication, sacrifices, uncertainties, difficult decisions, mistakes, setbacks and anguish, but, above all, a lot of learning,” he adds.
Finally, he is grateful for the support of his family, in “exchanging a professional path already taken for one that was just a dream and uncertainty”, of his friends, as well as teachers and new professional colleagues.
“One of the great chancellors in the recent history of Brazilian foreign policy once said that the best tradition of Itamaraty is knowing how to renew itself. Apparently, I’m really in the right place”, he concludes.
In the comments, some celebrities reacted to the news, such as actresses Regiane Alves, Lua Blanco, Bianca Salgueiro, Gabriella Saraiva and Jessica Ellen . The actor Rodrigo Simas also celebrated Gabriel’s achievement and commented: “Hurray!! Congratulations friend!”
