Former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill Biden test negative for Coronavirus

After President Donald Trump and his wife Melania trump tested positive for Coronavirus on Friday, just a month before the elections, presidential nominee Joe Biden and his wife also got tested for Coronavirus.

Luckily the results of the former Vice President of the United States and his wife came out to be negative. Furthermore, it was reported that the Friday campaign in Michigan will still be attended by Biden.

“Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden underwent PCR testing for COVID-19 today and COVID-19 was not detected. I am reporting this out in my capacity as both Vice President Biden and Dr. Biden’s primary care physician,” Biden’s doctor, Kevin O’Connor, said in a statement released by Biden’s campaign.

“I’m happy to report that Jill and I have tested negative for COVID. Thank you to everyone for your messages of concern. I hope this serves as a reminder: wear a mask, keep social distance, and wash your hands.” Biden wrote on Twitter.

PCR or Polymerase chain reaction test is one of the most common testing methods for the virus. Though it takes some time for the results to come out, it is more accurate as compared to the antibody and antigen test.

Joe Biden also tweeted a get well soon message for Trump and Melania saying, “Jill and I send our thoughts to President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for a swift recovery. We will continue to pray for the health and safety of the president and his family.”
