The French police announced that there was currently 500 vehicles who were trying to enter Paris and participated in a provider of protesters opposed to restrictive measures to curb Covid-19.
Police stopped the vehicles at three entrances to the French capital and gave more than 150 calls, she said in a Twitter message.
French police have mobilized thousands of people, set up checkpoints and deployed armored personnel carriers and trucks with pressurized water pumps in preparation for the protests.
Motorists from various cities in France, inspired by the so-called “freedom convoy” protest in Canada, are now trying to enter the French capital in defiance of a police order banning it.
