France: Macron loses absolute majority in Parliament – Impressive rise for Le Pen

Emanuel Macron’s “Together” faction is losing the absolute majority, since according to the Ipsos-Sopra Steria institute it is expected to gather 224 seats – far from the 289 it needed.

Jean-Luc Melanson secures the position of the official opposition as he is expected to occupy 170 to 190 seats.

The big jump for the far-right National Alarm of Marin Le Pen, which is expected to secure 89 seats, while the right-wing Republicans have another 78, according to the exit polls published by Le Monde.

Earlier and Belgian media show that Emanuel Macron is far from the 289 delegates he should electto have an absolute majority in the French National Assembly.
