The leader of the French far right, Marine Le Pen, who lost to President Emmanuel Macron in Sunday’s presidential election, will run for re-election in the June parliamentary elections, a party official said today.
National Alarm (RN) Vice President Louis Alio told CNEWS that Le Pen would run in the June 12 and 19 elections.
“In each case, they have seized it, despite obstacles we can scarcely imagine.”
He added that the party would seek to secure at least 15 seats, which would allow the RN to form a parliamentary group. In the 2017 elections, Lepen’s party had won eight seats.
