More than a million people participated today in the demonstrations that took place across the France against the reform of the pension system promoted by the government.
According to government imgs, 1.12 million people demonstrated throughout the country and more than 80 thousand in Paris in particular. Ta labor unions put the total number of protesters at two million.
Participation in strike mobilizations and protest marches against the government’s plan to raise the retirement age by two years – to 64 years – was particularly high even by French standards, certainly greater than that of 2019 for the pension.
