A platform has been launched in Russia to identify and combat fraudsters. The service was named “Moshelovka”. This was reported on Friday, May 21, by Izvestia.
According to the idea of the All-Russian People’s Fund (ONF), which is the creator of the new platform, “Moshelovka” will allow you to fight fraudsters. With the help of the resource, Russians who have suffered from the actions of intruders will be able to report the incident using a special form and get an algorithm of action in such situations. And experts and volunteers, in turn, will deal with the systematization of such messages and transfer information to law enforcement agencies and the Central Bank. Also on the portal, Russians will find information about new fraud schemes and advice on how not to fall for the trick of criminals.
“Fraud is very flexible. Every day there are new schemes and more and more victims. Often people get lost when they become victims of malefactors, do not know where to turn, how to behave. Our monitoring shows that most of them, especially if the damage is not so great, do not even apply to law enforcement agencies, because they do not believe that the fraudsters will be found and returned the money, ”said Evgenia Lazareva, head of the All-Russia People’s Front project“ For the rights of borrowers ”.
She noted that one of the main goals of the project is to instill in Russians the habit of reporting every crime to law enforcement agencies. This will increase the chances of the fraudsters being exposed. The experts interviewed by the authors of the publication generally positively reacted to the launch of the platform to combat fraudsters. However, for the project to be really effective, it is necessary to invest significant resources in its promotion, both temporary and financial.
