The game “Free Fire ” will win a anime adaptation produced jointly between the game's developer, Garena, and Japanese media conglomerate Kadokawa.
The anime inspired by the game must be produced by a Japanese anime studio together with Kadokawa Qingyu — Kadokawa's international branch — acting as production manager.
The adaptation should be made available worldwide, according to the companies' statement, but there is still no streaming platform officially confirmed.
The note also did not reveal a premiere date for the anime.
“Free Fire” is a Battle Royale game developed specifically for mobile devices. It was the most downloaded mobile game in the world between 2019 and 2021.
According to a survey by data.ai, a Sensor Tower company, the number of daily users of the game exceeded 100 million worldwide.
The objective of the shooting game is to be the last survivor among the players in the match.
