“I have seen The White Lotus and I had to have my girls», writes Kim Kardashian on Instagram. Anyone who has seen the second season of the award-winning series recognizes them: the girls in question are Simon Tabasco And Beatrice Grannoaka Lucia and Mia.
The two young Italian actresses, who rose to international prominence thanks to The White Lotus 2the HBO miniseries set in Taormina, are the protagonists of the new campaign Skims for Valentine’s Day, out of a wish, apparently, from Kim herself.
The super influencer, guest of the Schiaparelli fashion show which opens the Parisian days dedicated to Haute Couture, surprises with a surreal dress complete with a lion’s skull applied on the décolleté. Scale 1 to 1 and with jaws wide open
From set to fashion, the step is short, and the trend – that of invite, dress, involve the cast of acclaimed series in fashion projects – is constantly on the rise. The series of the moment has catapulted its protagonists – unknown or in any case distant from the world of fashion – even to the front rows of Milanese men’s fashion shows. Tabasco herself was front row by JW Anderson along with Sabrina Impacciatore, Valentina in the series.
Sensual and at the same time sunny and playful, just like the luxury escorts they play in the series, the two actresses pose for the lens of the photographer Donna Trope creating magic. It is indeed about a dreamteamas the photographer herself comments, because to unite the two colleagues there is a bond of friendship preceding the series itself.
«I had so much fun shooting the Skims Valentine’s campaign» commented Beatrice Grannò. “Having the opportunity to work alongside my friend Simona and experience our first global fashion campaign together is something very special.” «I love everything Skims represents» added Simona Tabasco, «To be featured in a global fashion campaign with Beatrice that celebrates friendship, women and feeling powerful and sexy in your body is so gratifying».
The brand that intentionally celebrates the body positivity and theempowerment feminine, and which even since its inception, in 2019, has given rise to criticism, produces shapewearor shaping garments which however do not try to contain but on the contrary to accentuate and harmonize the curves, without sacrificing comfort.
And the feeling we get from seeing the two Italian actresses is just that, that they are comfortable and at ease in Skims suits – a love letter to feminine curves, as they are defined on the brand’s Instagram profile – distant as they are from the extreme thinness in vogue in the nineties, but also from Kim’s artificial hourglass silhouette. Naturally and simply beautiful.
The underwear sets in different shades of pink and in classic black, worn by the two friends, will be available starting January 26 in the Skims Valentine’s shop. We are waiting to see what the next acting tests of the good Neapolitan actresses will be, in pairs or separately.
