Fuvest 2023: list of USP approved in the first call is released

The University Foundation for the Vestibular (Fuvest) released, this Friday (27), the list of those approved in the first call for the 2023 entrance exam. The test is the main means of admission to the University of São Paulo (USP), the main university in Brazil.

Access the complete list through this link.

Initially, this list was scheduled to be released only on the 30th, but the Foundation anticipated the result so that the approved candidates can prepare for enrollment at USP.

Those approved will have from January 31st at 8:00 am to February 6th at 4:00 pm to enroll virtually.

The result released this Friday (27) does not exhaust the possibilities of Fuvest 2023 candidates who did not make the list.

If, by any chance, someone summoned does not enroll within the indicated period, the vacancy will be filled by the next names in the classification of vestibular scores in other calls.

The second call should be released on February 10th and the third on the 17th of the same month.

Once the calls are closed, applicants will have from March 1st to March 3rd to express interest in the waiting list of remaining vacancies.

Furthermore, Fuvest is not the only means of admission to USP.

For the 2023 entrance exam, USP will offer 11,147 vacancies, with 8,230 of them through Fuvest and 2,917 by the ENEM-USP system, which uses the National High School Examination (ENEM) score.

Vestibulandos perform the test of the second phase of Fuvest 2023.

The number of applicants for the 2023 entrance exam totaled 114,432, considering candidates and trainees. According to data released by the Foundation, in this edition, 15,835 people did not show up to take the test, equivalent to 13.8% of abstention.

The so-called trainers, who are students who have not yet completed high school, but who complete the process as part of their preparation for the following year, totaled 10,389, while candidates totaled 103,043. This means an increase in relation to the same phase of the entrance exam last year, when there were 110,775 candidates in total.

Medicine had the highest cutoff score for the second phase

As is usually expected, the Medicine course was the most competitive in this edition in the Wide Competition category.

To advance in the dispute, the entrance exam that aims at the Pinheiros campus, in the city of São Paulo, needs to have answered at least 81 of the 90 questions in the first phase. This is equivalent to 90% of the test applied on the last December 4th.

Right behind are the cutoff scores for Medicine on the campuses of Bauru (78 hits) and Ribeirão Preto (79 hits).
