German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock showed clear symptoms of the disease after being infected with the coronavirus during a visit to Pakistan.
Sources in her delegation in the Pakistani capital Islamabad said today that the Green politician had “clear flu symptoms” from yesterday, Tuesday night.
Burbok wants to return to Berlin later today on a government plane. As it became known, the 41-year-old Foreign Minister will make the flight isolated in a separate cabin inside the plane. So far no other cases have been reported to her delegation.
Burbok was forced to shorten its visit to Islamabad yesterday, Tuesday, after two positive tests for the coronavirus.
Initially he planned to come to Greece today and then to visit Turkey. But now the whole delegation is expected to return to Berlin tonight.
