Germany: The federal government is in office since 26/10

The Tuesday 26 October The new federal deputies are sworn in, in the context of the first session of the Plenary Session of the German Parliament. Its federal government Germany then becomes official.

As announced at noon on Friday (22/10) the deputy government representative Ulrike Demer, after the swearing in of the Parliament, during which the new Bureau of the House will be elected, the Chancellor Angela Merkel and members of the government will go to the Bellevue Presidential Palace. There the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will inform the Chancellor that she is now in office and she in turn will ask the members of the government in a letter to remain in their positions until the new government is formed.

According to reports in the German media, in recent weeks about 200 government officials have been promoted to senior positions, with monthly salaries that even reach 7,000 euros. According to APE-MPE, the incident provoked the reaction of the Chancellery, with the Chief of Staff Helge Brown to send strict recommendation to ministers to limit themselves, during this period, to the performance of their absolutely necessary duties. According to BILD, Mr. Brown, in a letter, asked members of the government not to approve promotions or new advertising programs and not to make decisions that would bind their successors.
