THE CNN biologist Alex Ribeiro stated that the species is a cnidarian, and belongs to a group of invertebrate animals, in addition to having a very interesting characteristic, which are the tentacles.
According to him, “the tentacles are spread out, the cnidoblasts, with each of them having a ‘small needle’ to be able to deposit the venom”.
Regarding interactions with humans, Ribeiro warns and states that the animal can “cause itching, redness, nettles when in contact with the skin”.
“So, the ideal is not to touch, not try to manipulate the animal”, he warned.
Regarding the schools that surrounded the species, the biologist says that the fish that seek shelter in the jellyfish are not hurt by the jellyfish’s tentacles, they are immune, and end up feeding on some leftover food, creating a positive symbiosis between the two. organisms.
