Giulia Cecchettin murder: Filippo Turetta arrested in Germany

Filippo Turettathe ex-boyfriend of 22-year-old Giulia Cecchettin and her alleged killer, he was arrested in Germany after a manhunt that lasted several hours and thanks to an international warrant. This was confirmed this morning by the boy’s lawyer, Emanuele Compagno, who immediately notified his parents.

The two had disappeared together a week ago but her family immediately raised the alarm, worried that the situation would escalate. It happened when the two had an argument and he had already pushed her from a fifty meter high gully near Lake Barcis, near Pordenone, after having stabbed her and having searched on the internet for information on survival kits and local paths (details which would aggravate his situation with a charge of premeditated murder).

Some security camera images show the young man dragging Giulia into the trunk. Hence the alarm and alert on the black Fiat Punto in which the boy was traveling and which was last spotted in Austria (a week ago) in Lienz and Carinthia.

But first the young man he would have pumped petrol with banknotes full of blood in a vending machine in Cortina, as confirmed by a video from the cameras on site.
