Good intentions in 2021: the beauty routine for smart working and beyond

A new year has begun and smart working will most likely stay with us for a while. If in 2020 we were unable to organize a tailor-made beauty routine for the new, more sedentary life we ​​lead, now we have no more excuses. WORKOUT WITH HOT AND COLD WATER + DETOXIFYING SCRUB
Retention can affect different areas of the body, but generally focuses on the buttocks, arms, abdomen, and legs. To deflate these areas, Emanuela Senia, manager of the Beauty Lab Wellness Solution salon, recommends «exercising the capillaries according to the principles of vasodilation, favored by heat, and vasoconstriction, exercised in the cold. Those who have a tub can make the circulation do water aerobics by soaking for about ten minutes in warm water to which five or six handfuls of coarse cooking salt have been added, with an anti-inflammatory effect. Finally, the water from the hand shower can be directed onto the legs, opening it first at a warm-hot temperature and then cold to pass it on the legs. The rule is to start from the feet and go up with the jet to the groin, pausing behind the knees, in the popliteal fossa, the posterior leg muscle. Even those who only have a shower can still train their legs with the cold jet of the hand shower to promote vasoconstriction ». ANTI-RETENTION MASSAGE
Emanuela Senia also offers tips for doing home massages if you can’t go to a professional. «First of all, you have to get a lift, like a stool, on which to rest a leg. It starts by applying a moisturizer or an oil, such as almond oil, taking care not to overdo the quantity which, if excessive, could make it difficult to perform the maneuvers perfectly. Anti-cellulite products stimulate blood circulation usually contain blueberry which helps to strengthen the capillary walls, gotu kola with a draining effect, fennel, which is purifying, caffeine or pineapple extract ».

«You have to make gentle strokes on the whole thigh, from the knee up, repeating the movements five or six times. Those with particularly edematous tissue must pay particular attention. To understand if you fall into this category, just apply pressure with a finger: releasing the point in question, if the finger mark remains for many seconds, you confirm that you have a lot of retention and it is therefore advisable to gently manipulate the area. Once the touches are over, you can move on to the lymphatic discharge, exerting light pressure at the groin, where the lymphatic glands are located. The hands are then placed on the thigh so that the thumbs are centered at the top and the palms wrap around the sides. Then you proceed to slide your hands so that they embrace the back of the thigh, as if you want to draw rings along the whole thigh, going up from the knee up. Then, by dividing the thigh into three parts, external, central and inner thigh, to make kneading, just as if you were working the dough, going up the leg, ideally up to the culotte de cheval area. Finally you go back to making a light touch, and then start to devote yourself to the lower leg. Using the phalanges of both hands, we need to wrap the lower leg and try to divide the two twin muscles, to pass them in between: associated with a slight pressure, this maneuver is very useful for drainage. Doing even six or seven steps, you then begin to draw the “rings” starting from the ankle, a point on which it is advisable to pause slightly more. It ends with the brushing, remembering to stop initially behind the knee, in the popliteal cavity, where to exert slight pressure, and then continue along the thigh ».

The massage should last about ten minutes and can be done every day unless there is inflammation or sciatica.
