The weather change in much of Brazil caused a significant increase in Google searches for weather information.
In the last seven days, they had a jump of 60%. Brazilians are interested in temperatures and ways to warm up.
The minimums have even led people to look for winter clothes. The search for “cold clothes” gained prominence. Blouse, set, jacket and coat are among the access preferences.
Because of the cold, searches for “soup” grew 70% in the last 24 hours. They increase even more towards the end of the day, towards the night. It is one of the five recipes that Brazilians most want to learn to make at home, according to data from the platform.
The cold wave has taken over the streets and the conversations of Brazilians, but the interest in the topic is not new.
According to a Google survey, the word “Climate” is the champion of Internet searches in the last 12 months. Then comes “time”, in second place in the ranking. The states that most researched were São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso and Paraná.
According to the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), temperatures will remain low at least until next week in several regions of Brazil.
The Institute even issued a warning of a sudden drop in thermometers for states in the Midwest, South and Southeast.
According to agrometeorologist Carlos Mendonça, a professor at the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense (Uenf), the high interest of Brazilians in weather information is directly related to well-being conditions.
“We are homeotherms. We exchange heat with the environment. What influences physiological behavior. Productivity, concentration, performance at work, everything is related to thermal comfort”.
