The Ellinikon Experience Center, the largest and most impressive Visitor Center in the world, yesterday welcomed representatives of the State and the Local Government in a unique tour of the emblematic project for the regeneration of Elliniko. The Experience Center, recently opened by Lamda Development, includes unique natural and technological exhibits and innovative experiential activities to take visitors to the future of a smart, green city, The Ellinikon.
The Ellinikon Experience Center was visited by the Minister of Finance Mr. Christos Staikouras, the Minister of Development & Investment Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, the Minister of Citizen Protection Mr. Takis Theodorikakos, the Deputy Minister of Spatial Planning and Urban Environment Mr. Mavrotas, the Attica Regional Governor Mr. George Patoulis as well as other representatives from the political world and the local government.
The tour of the impressive Helliniko Visitor Center was conducted by the CEO of Lamda Development, Odysseas Athanassiou, who, among other things, said: “We are today at The Ellinikon Experience Center, the largest and most technologically advanced Urban Development Visitor Center in the world. “It reflects our vision in the best way. That is why I invite you all to come here and live it with us.”
Through the five theme areas of the Experience Center, with their impressive facilities and innovative experiences, inspired by the history and natural beauty of the area, the vision and all the works of the largest urban regeneration in Europe, “came to life” ahead in the eyes of the guests.
More specifically, they had the opportunity to be guided in the rich heritage of the area and the impressive works that compose the innovative design of The Ellinikon in the largest model that has been created in Greece, size 45 sq.m .. Then, they toured the largest coastal park Europe and on the upgraded coastline and marina of The Ellinikon. They also got to know the new, “smart” and sustainable technologies that will change the way we live, work and “connect” in the new green city that is being created in Elliniko. Finally, at The Ellinikon Experience Center they visited a “smart” house of the future.
The Ellinikon Experience Center, housed in one of the Air Force’s three hangars – designated by the Ministry of Culture as newer monuments – welcomes the public daily, from 11:00 until 22:00. Admission is free, and reservations are required (here). Access is easy, from Vouliagmeni Avenue, very close to the Metro Elliniko stop. For the convenience of visitors, there is free parking in the Park, which also serves the visitors of the Experience Center.
