Guedes defends readjustment to all servers and says that announcement should come soon

The Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, defended a linear adjustment for all federal civil servants, during a press conference held this Thursday (21), in the USA, where he fulfills a series of agendas.

In the minister’s assessment, the previous plan to concentrate the readjustment only for police forces would be cheaper, but this linear readjust is “electorally feasible” for President Jair Bolsonaro, in his words, as it generates less discontent on the eve of the presidential elections. .

In recent weeks, some categories planned or started work stoppages precisely because of this perspective that only federal police officers would receive a salary increase.

Guedes also pointed out that this linear adjustment has not yet been formalized for legal reasons, but that everything is practically closed and that in the coming days the government should confirm the 5% adjustment for federal servants.

This week, Federal Police delegates met in two assemblies, on Tuesday and Wednesday, and indicated possible stoppages and reductions in work, with standard operations. That’s because they expected to receive a bigger readjustment. It is worth remembering that a budget of R$ 1.7 billion was included in this year’s budget for this purpose.

The PF stoppage can be approved at a meeting scheduled for May 2.
