The pastor William of Padua , confessed murderer of actress Daniella Perez, died this Sunday (6th), a victim of a heart attack, in Belo Horizonte. The information was confirmed in a statement from the Lagoinha Baptist Church, published by Pastor Márcio Valadão. Hours earlier, he had posted a live on Instagram reporting the death of the former actor.
Padua murdered Daniella while they were both working on the soap opera “Body and soul” from TV Globo, in 1992, in Rio de Janeiro.
Police investigations at the time raised suspicions about the then actor, who confessed to the crime, stating that he had the help of his then wife, Paula Nogueira Thomaz.
He was sentenced to 19 years in prison but was released in 1999 after serving a third of the sentence. The story was the subject of the HBO Max documentary “Brutal Pact – The Murder of Daniella Perez,” which premiered this year.
