Canada’s Preethi Vijay took down the world Guinness record painting with spices a butterfly covering an area of 84 square meters. Vijay from Surrey used turmeric, paprika and cloves for her work, which Guinness World Records has confirmed is the largest spice painting in the world.
Vijay, a former software engineer, is self-taught and now sells her works on social media. As he explained, he prefers to create works with natural materials. “I like using coffee. Then suddenly the idea came to me to create me spices like turmeric, paprika, which have vibrant colors,” Vijay told CTV News.
Vijay said she imgd the large-scale canvas from her hometown of Chennai, India, and for the paint she used spice mixture weighing five kilogramsadded water and used a normal paint brush.
The artist worked for three months and completed her work last September, but the record was validated last week.
