Hair has always said something about our personality and, especially in recent months, the hairdresser has represented a place where you can find yourself, while hairstyling has become the spokesperson for a desire for change and liberation. The chosen names sound just like a hymn to freedom.

Is called Evasion the collection by Franck Provost, while The odyssey by Jean Louis David is an invitation to dream, to see beautiful things. Compagnia della Bellezza has chosen “Oh my Sun!”, A reference to open spaces, to the wind that caresses the hair, to the lightness of styling and spirit.

THE CUTS FOR SPRING-SUMMER 2021
Let’s start from pixie cut, the short cut par excellence, a declaration of independence. Evos proposes it in a minimal, refined and elegant key. It is a shorter tuft pixie and the hair that flows longer down the neck. For Salvo Filetti, creative director of the Compagnia della Bellezza, «The short cut of our collection is a (re) mix of emotions: long tuft, super tight and loose sides, short but not too short nape, with a“ caressing ”allure».

It is precisely the hair that caresses the neck that marks the transition from short to medium, with rock cuts characterized by strong scaling in the upper part of the head. «The final stripping is very important to define the line and to make the cut easier in everyday maintenance. The story of a haircut begins right when the customer goes home, ”he comments Aureliano Azzalin, Indola Italy Ambassador.

On medium cuts the fringe is the protagonist: wild on the shag cut, full and graphic to highlight the boule effect of the yoke or geometric to make the classic helmet more intriguing. In any case, “It is very important that the natural thrust of the hair does not change during the drying phase,” he says Martino Pisanu, ambassador Schwarzkopf Professional.

I long cuts they are inspired by the seventies and are the evolution in length of the shag cut. Green light to new layered scales, with a fringe that stretches on the sides giving the sprint to the front scaling. The most romantic can take a trip to the nineties, in search of more sober scales. The long cut thus becomes oval in front to lead the tips to their natural movement.

COLOR
Extreme brightness without detachments and sharp contrasts characterizes the sun-kissed effects. Natural nuances inspired by the colors of the earth, between warm golden blondes, rustic and ash browns. The shades of light are positioned on strategic areas to give movement to the cut and to create a chromatic harmony that enhances the face. Among the color proposals, Davines goes against the trend of the classic bright front frame and proposes the technique of Shadowing: a balayage in reverse, with the darker shades close to the face.

STYLING: MOVEMENT AND LIGHTNESS
In terms of hair, summer is often synonymous with liberation. With the summer, there is room for curly, wavy or slightly wavy styling. Hair breathes, takes its natural shape, is full and voluminous. The crease and the hairstyles are well done, but with a touch of freedom. The desire to let the hair handle itself is legitimate. They move with the wind, they vibrate in the air.
