The All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) conducted a study on how Russians suffered from the suspension of Western companies in Russia.

As it turned out, half of Russians do not regret the departure of foreign brands – this is how 50% of respondents answered. Russians regretting the departure of foreign businesses were more likely to name specific brands – IKEA – 6%, McDonald’s – 5%, Apple – 3%, Renault, Procter & Gamble and H&M – 2% each. The type of activity of the company was also noted – automotive – 6%, pharmaceuticals, electronics manufacturers, air carriers – 2% each.
More than half of Russians believe that the departure of foreign companies from Russia will affect their lives in one way or another: 12% said they would have a strong impact, 23% said they would have a moderate impact, almost the same share believes that it will affect them, but weakly (21%).
According to the majority of Russians, domestic producers will be able to replace the products of the departed companies to one degree or another – 85%.
