Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were invited to King Charles III’s coronation on May 6 but have yet to confirm their attendance, The Sunday Times reported on Sunday (5).
A spokesperson for the couple told the British newspaper that “the Duke has recently received an email correspondence from Her Majesty’s office regarding the coronation” and said they will not disclose at this time whether they will attend the ceremony.
There will be three days of celebrations, with the coronation on Saturday, May 6, a “Coronation Grand Luncheon” and “Coronation Concert” the following day, plus an extra holiday on Monday.
Harry’s revelations
On January 10, Prince Harry released his memoir called “Spare”, an English term that means something that is used as a reserve, spare or second option.
Harry exposed several situations, such as a fight with his brother, William, in which the younger brother accused him of having physically assaulted him during an argument about his wife, Meghan, in 2019.
He also recounted the first time he visited the UK after stepping down as senior royal in April 2021 for the funeral of grandfather Prince Philip. and says he found that his brother and father “came ready for a fight.”

Charles’ decision comes after the couple’s scathing revelations about Harry’s father, his older brother Prince William and other royals in their recent memoir, a Netflix documentary and series of TV interviews, reported the newspaper “Sun”.
