Harry: first public outing after Spare? At a mental health summit

First the revelations contained in the docuseries Netflix, Harry & Meghanthen the bombshell interviews released to some television networks and, finally, the release of the autobiography Shoot which made the already precarious balance of the British royal family waver even more. The past was a period of great media exposure for the Prince Harry who, after the publication of his book, has seen fit to take a break and devote more time to his private life and his family. A stop which, however, will not last much longer because she has been announced its participation, for 7 and 8 March, in a summit organized by BetterUpthe start-up with which he collaborates that deals with mental health.

For his return to the public, the Duke of Sussex has chosen to be present at an event that deals with one of the causes closest to his heart: raising awareness and safeguarding mental well-being. As can be read from the press release released by the company, in San Francisco, the place of the meeting, “goals, performance and human transformation” will be discussed together with activists and experts in the sector, such as Issa Rae, David Chang, Robin Arzón or Adam Grant. Harry will be there in double capacity: not only as one of the speakers, but also as one of the leaders and organizers of BetterUpa position he has held since March 2021, after moving to California with his wife and renouncing his role within the royal family.

In another event of the platform, held in October last year, the second son of Carlo and Diana had intervened, surprisingly, in a seminar organized within another summit. On that occasion, those present had talked about the benefits of therapy and the mental coaching and how having followed a path of this type has led him to change his life for the better, to unlock his potential and to get to know each other better.

As also emerges from Spare, Mental health is a major theme in Harry’s life. After the trauma of losing her mother, she struggled through most of her adolescence and part of her adult life to process the pain of loss. But that is not all: he was also a victim of burnout, a condition that, in his words, “was burning the candle from both ends until it was consumed.” The solution was a lot of inner work done through therapy and meditation.
