The artistic, stylistic and personal life of Harry Stylesfor those who have only appreciated and loved him in recent years, could superficially be composed of two phases: that of a member of one direction and solo career.
Those who, on the other hand, have followed the singer’s exploits since his debut can say that they have witnessed various Eras of Styles, all marked by a different style: from hair to outfit, from attitude to music.
It may be the fate enclosed in the name Harry but his life, which can be divided into very distinct chapters, was a real saga that has nothing to envy to Potter or to the vicissitudes with the media of Prince Harry, both British like him!
But enough talk, let’s retrace together the most significant periods of HS’s life:
FETUS HARRY (PRE FAME)
The Directioner fandom was (and is) one of the most loyal, loyal and curious in the music world. While being part of it and being, in my small way, always informed about the news on the field one direction, I remember the amazement with which I witnessed the other girls who devoted themselves to the cause and who went to retrieve historical artifacts of the lives of those 5 boys … to make the FBI pale. This is how among the eras of Harry Styles, today, we can also include «Fetus Harry», that is the child version of Styles, well before the spotlight. A simple boy from Holmes Chapel, an English village of few souls, who worked there in a bakery after school. The photos portray a rather outgoing boy who doesn’t take himself too seriously, with the “bunch of bananas” hair typical of that period and a very casual schoolboy look. In short, his attitude was no different from that of a canonical classmate, perhaps the nicest of the group.
PREPPY HARRY (2010-2012)
Then came the hearing a X Factora more childish, less hoarse but in tune voice sang Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder, even getting a NO from one of the jurors for the alleged lack of stage presence.

And then there’s him, the Harry Styles who seems to have come out of an American Fraternity that made millions of teenagers’ hearts beat faster and inspired a flood of fan-fiction. Perhaps the most distant from today’s style, but just as loved, included: tight-fitting t-shirts that displayed his tattoos, skinny jeans, ankle boots, multi-thread pendants, visor caps, a bolder attitude and the first rumors about his fame as a playboy (always rejected by him and rightly unwelcome because, regardless of the “red flag boy” outfit, he has always treated the female theme with immense respect).
BANDANA HARRY AND LONG HAIRED HARRY (2014-2015)
Among the eras that still arouse the most nostalgia today! Many of Styles’ longest-lasting fans miss that long, curly locks. The textbook style of a pop boyband member here evolved into a more indie attitude and laid the foundations for Harry who wants to break gender barriers: long hair, bandanas, dangling earrings, very tight pants, boots, baggy hats and fancier suits.

Harry’s first solo world tour arrives, as well as the first real taste of the version he offers today and it is a show of colors, patterns, sequins, accessories and rainbow flags.
It’s the era of the single Sign of the Times, which made the artist re-evaluate even by most of the listeners who didn’t like the pop and catchy songs of the time one direction.
But it’s also the first time Harry can allude to sexuality with more freedom of expression and without the constraints in individuals: Only angel, Carolina, Woman, Medicine and Kiwi.
END OF THE LINE HARRY (2019)
If, until 2018, someone may have never heard of Harry Styles well… since 2019 it’s almost impossible not to have come across at least once one of his covers for prestigious magazines, a news item in the newspaper or one of his new singles.
It is the period of Watermelon Sugarsong that led him to win his first Grammy Award and undisputed soundtrack of that summer.

The key word of this period is only one: mustache! From the clean face to which he had accustomed us, a legacy of the fetus Harry, Styles suddenly shows off, during the quarantine period, an unexpected artist mustache and is often paparazzi in Italy. How can we forget those stolen photos taken in Rome while he takes a jog through the historic streets of the capital, under the incredulous eyes of passers-by.
LOVE ON TOUR HARRY (2021-2023)
In recent years, the artist is unstoppable: he returns to tour after the covid break, releases the album Harry’s House conquering all the charts with the single As It Was, gets the lead role in the film Don’t Worry Darling And my policeman, a cameo in the Marvel film Eternals which, presumably, announces the beginning of a new adventure and, as if that weren’t enough, founds a genderless beauty brand: Pleasing.
The look, on the other hand, is nothing more than the further explosion of Harry’s End Line Era: colors (flamboyant), patterns (unpredictable), sequins (many), pearls, enamel and feathered boas (also flaunted by the audience in the stalls).
I wonder if fetus Harry expected these evolutions. If all this has happened in just 13 years, we don’t dare to imagine what the years to come have in store for us and we can’t wait to find out!
