Authorities determined that the actress’s death was due to pneumonia and drug side effects. But five months later, her husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack, was also found dead in the same room at their home in Los Angeles, California.

These events unleashed an infinity of conspiracy theories, some claimed that Brittany’s mother poisoned the couple to keep all the assets, that the actress was kidnapped by her own husband and that the house in which they lived was in such deplorable condition that they put their own lives at stake.

To this was added a toxicological test requested by the actress’s father, Angelo Bertolotti, in which heavy metals and toxic to the body were found. In addition to the imminent but highly questioned silence from his mother.
