He admitted he tried to kill his cancer-stricken wife ‘to save her pain’ – ‘I’d do it again’

A Utah man has admitted to trying to kill his dying wife, who was battling cancer. DeWayne McCulla, 46, pleaded guilty to attempted murder Thursday in the drowning of his wife, Arenda McCulla, 47. Arenda was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2020. Invasive is cancer that begins in cells of the milk ducts. It makes up 80% of all breast cancers, i.e. it is the most common form. By October 2021, the cancer had spread to Arenda’s throat, brain, lungs and liver and was considered terminal, according to a GoFundMe page set up by her son, Anthony Ryder.
