A Filipino man was punished by the police for violating them restrictive measures and lost his life.
Police stopped Darren Manaog Penaredondo, who was out after a curfew on the island of Luzon to buy water.
After being forced to do 300 “deep seats” as punishment, the man collapsed and died the next day.
Marlo Solero, commander of the local police department, claims that there are no bodies punishments for offenders, only recommendations from the Authorities. He said that if it was proven that the police had placed him in deep seats, he would be punished by example.
The announcement of the tragic man’s death was made by his relative on Facebook. Adrian Lucena said that Penaredondo was caught violating the measures together with others and the police put them all together to make 100 deep seats, synchronized.

The mayor of the city stated that he is investigating the matter together with the police, calling the punishment “torture”.
