The Ministry of Health started, this Thursday (10), the distribution of 1 million doses of pediatric vaccines against Covid-19 for children from six months to under three years old. The guidance of the folder is that immunizations are directed to children with comorbidities in this age group.
According to the ministry, the immunizers of pfizer must be sent to all states and the Federal District by Friday (11).
“With the end of the Public Health Emergency of National Importance (ESPIN), the possibility of increasing doses for children in this age group without comorbidities should be evaluated by the National Commission for the Incorporation of Technologies in the SUS (Conitec)”, says the ministry. in note.
Vaccines against Covid-19 must be administered simultaneously with the other immunizers of the vaccine calendar or at any interval in the age group of 6 months of age or older, according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health.
The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) approved the expansion of the use of the Pfizer vaccine to immunize children between 6 months and 4 years of age on September 16.
