Henry Cavill defends his girlfriend from negative comments on social networks

Henry Cavill shares an announcement on Instagram about the harassment suffered by his girlfriend, Legendary Entertainment executive Natalie Viscuso, due to the intense response from his fans when they found out about their relationship.

Since the English actor publicly confirmed his relationship with Viscuso, many of his loyal followers on multiple social networks have been commenting on his disappointment to learn that he is no longer a single man.

Dear fans and followers, I want to make a small announcement. I couldn’t help but notice that there has been animosity online lately. It has become very obvious on my social media. There has been a lot of speculation lately about my personal and professional life. Now, while I appreciate the passion and support that many of you have given me, this has all come to the point where I need to say something about it.

We are living in a social age of enlightenment, more and more, people have realized that their opinions, ways of thinking and decisions are very different from all those around them. So to you who have expressed your discontent and shown your disagreement in different unpleasant ways, it is time to stop.

I know it can be fun to speculate, gossip and get into other people’s personal lives online, but your “passion” is in a wrong place, causing harm to the people you love the most. I am happily in love and would be totally grateful if you could be happy for me. If you can’t be happy for me, then the least you can do is try to be the best version of yourself.

Cavill disabled comments on the latter post, and when that happens, his most loyal followers know that it is because, for him, it is a really personal issue.
