Her stepfather supported her to do two races and she gave him a motorcycle in gratitude

For years there has been the belief that stepfathers are fearsome men without feelings, but this is totally wrong and to prove it are Diana Pérez and her gift Derlis, originally from Paraguay and protagonists of a story of support, love and family.

Recently, Diana thanked her stepfather for all the efforts he made so that she could study two races and gave her a motorcycle with which she can now transport herself from one place to another. The story moved Internet users.

A dad at heart

Diana appreciated the years of dedication and love that Don Derlis gave her since she married her mother. She wanted to study two majors, but economic conditions prevented her from realizing her dream. However, her stepfather promised to work hard for her to fulfill her dream and although the path was not easy, he fulfilled what was said.

I still remember how excited I came to tell him and my mother that I wanted to study Law and Public Notaries. My mother comes out and tells me ‘My daughter, only one of us will be able to pay you.’ Crying, I entered my room (I was very young and did not yet understand the commitments of the great ones and the great effort that parents make to put everything on) until this man approached me and said: ‘Until my fingers hurt I’m going to work, but you are going to study Law and Notary Public ‘. They don’t know the smile he put on my lips. I was the happiest daughter.

You cannot imagine how many times I have seen this man overwork himself so that I can study. And with pride in my chest I tell him that by gluing and sewing shoes he made me a professional. 28 years ago he assumed a father’s commitment, even though my brothers and I were not his children. 28 years ago he has been the best dad in the world. (My biological father died in an accident when I was barely 1 year old) but an angel sent me, my father Don Derlis.

The best thank you in the world

I never let my parents down and I successfully completed my careers. Life gave me revenge and today I can give them a little of what they gave me. A thank you to Don Derlis, my father at heart, a hardworking and humble man with a giant heart who, like me, loves animals, so much so that today he is in charge of a shelter for dogs that I have (he had a very old motorcycle and in that how many animals he helped, today for his birthday and for the love of animals, this is his gift)

He gave me two college degrees and I gave him this one. Congratulations to the noblest lord.

Don Derlis paid for Diana’s studies without complaint or reproach. She spent hours in her shoe shop and limited herself to some personal tastes as long as she and her siblings got ahead. His story attests that the true family does not always come from blood ties, but from the heart.
